"You weren't in your room an hour ago, I checked. This means that you're lying to me, again. You were in the woods, again." He started.

"But daddy, I'm sorry I just lost track of time." She tried, feeling a bit uneasy. What did he mean? He normally would just let it slip, he would again today, right?

"You're not learning by words alone." He started, while he laid his newspaper on the table next to him. "I want you to come closer."

She hesitated but walked towards her dad, not sure what would happen.

"Come lay over my lap, darlin'." He said quietly.

"Ehm, what?" She started, taking a step back.
